The Mystery of Windows.

" In my paintings I show only parts of the figure so the viewer must use their own imagination to finish the story. For example, I may keep the figure's state of mind hidden by cropping the figure's head out of the image. My approach also involves the enigmatic quality of natural light. There are often unexpected reflections that create secondary light sources and strange shadows, all resulting from the sun coming through a single window or multiple windows. The situations for many of my paintings emerged unexpectedly, and increased my curiosity in the mystery of windows. This curiosity has continued to motivate my work."
